1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PilotLookup's phone validation and carrier lookup API service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PilotLookup provides a RESTful API that validates US phone numbers and returns carrier information, line type, and location data. The Service is provided on a credit-based system where users purchase credits to make API requests.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must not share your API keys with unauthorized parties

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

4. API Usage and Limitations

4.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service to harass, stalk, or harm others
• Attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent the API
• Resell or redistribute API access without authorization
• Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Overload or attempt to disrupt the Service infrastructure

4.2 Rate Limits

API requests are subject to rate limits based on your account tier. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary throttling or account suspension.

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Credits

Credits are purchased in advance and used to make API requests. One credit equals one API lookup. Credits do not expire and are non-refundable except as required by law.

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your complete payment card information.

5.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect credits already purchased.

6. Data Accuracy and Warranties

6.1 Service Accuracy

While we strive for 99.9% accuracy, we do not guarantee that all data returned by the API is completely accurate or up-to-date. Phone number portability and carrier changes may affect data accuracy.

6.2 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We target 99.99% uptime for our API service. SLA credits may be available for Professional and Enterprise tiers:

• 99.9% - 99.99% uptime: No credit
• 99.0% - 99.9% uptime: 10% credit
• 95.0% - 99.0% uptime: 25% credit
• Below 95% uptime: 50% credit

SLA credits must be requested within 30 days of the incident and are subject to verification.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PILOTLOOKUP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, documentation, and trademarks, are owned by PilotLookup. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Clark County, Nevada.
